depredation,chaos, destruction... beautiful isn't it?

airbrush/paintbrush in Photoshop 7. hmmm im not too sure how long this one took. close to 60 or so hours.

and the picture i used as a sort of reference.. mainly for the lighting and the pose, as u can see its completely different. [link]

this was EXTREMELY difficult to paint. which is the main reason why I did it. I like challenges, and im determined to improve.. so hopefully my skills have slightly developed over the past 6 months. i think they have.

just to make things clear: this is not a photo manip, paint over, or photo smudge up.

thats amazing work. i would never have the self control to do it. if i tryed, im sure my computer would get my frustration taken out on it, and that would be bad. its..amazing.

This is great ... I've been trying to teach myself how to do this (realistic stuff out of pshop) so I know how tricky it can be ... but you've pretty much mastered it. Really nice ... realistic but still painterly ... love the background too ... great work.

I think it's quite clear that you're improving, if this isn't evidence enough then I don't know what is. You know how I feel about your work, but I've gotta say- this is really, really good. Profanity inducing good infact :) (Smile) I'm glad you kept her in BnW, it makes the whole picture look so.. it makes her stand out against the background. You really managed to infuse her with attitude too. There's nothing worse then a picture spoiled by bland expression. I just.. yeah.. wow.

I like this work absolutely . do not want to analayse it for too long , just want to express my admiration.
The only little thing : i am not sure that you have captured the contour of her face near her cheeks: it seems to me that it looks slightly unnatural: you can see it if you will look at the reference photo

Brilliant work Bex box.. brilliant. I love the hands. I'm probably one of the biggest hand fans around. I'm amazed at the detail of them. You put in a lot of work to this. Turned out the best.
